VOLUNTEER

Eastside's vital volunteer community is essential to our academic program. Through a network of around 50 volunteer tutors from throughout the community, students get the support they need to graduate from Eastside and enroll in college.

Volunteer tutors can get involved in one of two ways:

Volunteers who commit to tutor an Eastside student come to campus at least once a week, helping their student stay on top of coursework and providing academic support.

Volunteers in the Middle School Reading Program come to campus once or twice per week, leading small groups of five or six students with their reading, discussion questions and writing projects.

Tutoring requires a current TB test and background check, per state law.
