We're proud to announce that in early November Step by Step, our campus community service club, was awarded a Bronze Jefferson Leadership School Service Award, one of only five schools in the Bay Area to be honored with a bronze award for our school-wide commitment to community service.

September 2009
Eastside students, families and staff collected 2,200 pounds of trash in less than three hours during the California Coastal Cleanup in September 2009.
May 2009
Eastside's student paper, "The Panther," took top honors in General Excellence in the San Francisco Peninsula Press Club's High School Journalism Competition in May. The staff also won second place in Layout and Design. Four individual students were recognized for excellence in editorial and photography as well. April 2009
A group of Eastside students took third place in the National Society of Black Engineers Competition in Las Vegas in April. For more pictures from the event, click here.
January 2009
Eastside student recognized as Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula Youth of the Year for outstanding community service such as assisting younger kids with literacy and doing environmental work in the community, as well as for being active on many committees at school and in the community.

Eastside's Step by Step Club receives "Out on a Limb" award from Canopy "for their support of tree planting events in both Palo Alto and East Palo Alto."
