FROM THE PRINCIPAL
As we gear up for our 15th school year, the summer at Eastside has been busy as usual. Many students filled their summer days on campus with art, drama, fitness, and journalism as part of our emphasis on year-round learning. The summer bridge program has been prepping our incoming freshmen for Eastside’s challenging curriculum, and senior “boot camp” is giving this year’s seniors a chance to immerse themselves in the world of college applications. Off campus, students traveled overseas with Experiment in International Living, tested their leadership and survival skills with Outward Bound, and rolled up their sleeves to volunteer in the community.
The members of the Class of 2010 will soon begin their journeys to colleges around the country including Colgate University, Occidental College, Pomona College, Stanford University, UCLA, and Vassar College.
In a few weeks we’ll welcome 280 students to campus- our largest student body ever. We look forward to watching them thrive in their studies, too, and continue pursuing their dream of attending college.
